The Two Wheel Drive

The first motorcycle that I drove or sat my butt onto was a Honda Mopeds, Trendy Bike. It was a slim type bike that you can start and ran basically by kicking the bike pedals. If things got difficult you will exhaust your self to death before reaching your destination. During that time all I thought was "This is so cool." I am not sure now if they still exist today even in a junk shop here in the Philippines. I was 13, my hair was as short as Demi Moore and my first love for two wheeler started.

I love vintage and old things. My eyes would pop out whenever I see old ancestral home and antiques. The thing is, I just adore them but I didn't have the urge to keep one and the fact that I cannot afford them forbids me from owning. I also enjoy looking at vintage cars. Women and cars. They go well together. Like chicken adobo and kanin (rice). Too bad that my driving instincts doesn't do well with 4 wheel vehicles. One time our owner type jeep got stuck in the middle, hanging ten on a pavement. I was the culprit. Good thing there were contraction workers nearby to help me, around six men carried it.

Our second two wheeler was a blue Yamaha motorbike. I am not quite sure of the exact model but it look more of a Passola.  During my college years my Mom bought a scoot with no registration. That time the road law ain't that strict. You can always use the sign " For Registration" and can get away with it for ten years. I usually use it going to school during days. I seldom use it at night especially when alone. I'm so much scared that it would die on me in the middle of nowhere. Couple of years later it started to get some problems so before it cost us a lot we decided to sell it for ten thousand pesos.
They say that when you know how to drive you will be more confident being a passenger. That is most true being a motorcycle back-rider. Confidence with the driver makes you enjoy the many things about just being on the back side of the two wheels. I am always reminded of Alicia Silverstone on the music video of Aerosmith's "Amazing,"  that's back ridin' sexy.
