The Art of Back-riding Scoot Style

Angkas is a tagalog word meaning back ridding. Kaskasera on the other hand means fast rider. I merged the two words together Angkas-kasera because there are no direct tagalog word for back rider. As was previously blogged, I mentioned that I am but another Iskootorista (Scooter Rider) by heart and soul (amen). So why do I enjoy and settle to be a Angkaskasera?
There are dozens or even more of a thing about back-riding that I totally enjoy. Of course some of the reason might put one back rider at risk. So, be sure to put on the proper riding attire or gears: arm and knee pads and  the most important thing of all is the ride helmet! Though, I am guilty of not wearing the complete attire all the time during short destinations, the goody sturdy helmet is the top of the list and never been neglected nor forgotten.

How I came to be a Vespa Angkas-Kasera? I will leave some of the details hanging. My enthusiasm for this European Classical Styled Scooter was not surprisingly love at first sight. I saw a Vespa Scoot one time in our province. I told my self I will buy me one like that. Unlucky me it did not came to reality. When I decided to buy me a scoot in  2009, the Vespa distributor in Laguna vanished. That time, I did not know anyone who had a knowledge about the the classical scooter. So, I settled for a Honda Scooter (Beat), it was new in the market that time.

It was love at second sight I guess when I saw a picture on a friends social network "Oh! He was ridding on a Vespa Scoot!" Alright, so my heart skipped and jump, excitedly message "the guy." Guess what happened? No. I did not manage to buy another scooter, but I become a humble Angkas-kasera (with love and pride of my status :) ).
